Day 19: Munich- Rainy Day

I planned on going to see Neuschwanstein castle, but the weather had other plans and I reeeeeally wasn't up for spending all day in the rain. So it was a pretty chill day. Did laundry, called Mom and Justin, read, blogged, journaled. The rain cleared up in the afternoon so I went to Marian Platz, kind of the city hub. I did some window shopping and people watching, OH and bought a new pair of Havaianas flip flops because that crazy drunk girl stole mine... If you don't know who I'm referring to, read thebpost from two days ago. You're in for a treat. Anyway, then I got dinner at a really nice little cafe off the main square. The weather was a little chilly, especially compared to the past few days, but definitely not unbearable- I was a wearing a t-shirt and scarf. Germans must have thin blood though, because they were seriously wearing winter coats, gloves... Preparing for a blizzard, I guess. Anyway, I sat outside as I ate. The name of the place was Bohne & Malz, but I don't know the name of what I had to eat... It was pork medallions over cheesy gooey spƤtzle, covered in a really creamy sauce with mushrooms. It was SO good! Probably the best meal I had in Germany. I'm surprised at how much I loved the food there!

That's my only photo from the entire day. Funny huh? After dinner I walked around to a bunch of different shops, then spotted a store called Douglas where I thought maybe I could find some decent hair conditioner. Lemme tell you, I struck GOLD at this place. They had every beauty product a girl could ever want, super cheap, and even had American brands! So I got some Herbal Essences conditioner, cheap nail polish remover, and delightful smelling lotion. Real tempted to buy some Clinique eyeshadow but WOW it's expensive over here! I stuck with my €7 of goodies and headed back to the hostel to shower and pack and get ready for my early morning train ride to Salzburg, Austria! CRAZY day today, I know... ;)
