Day 10: Getting to Prague

Today won't be a long entry, but here we go! I woke up and planned to check out the Red Light District, but it started pouring rain while I walked there. So instead I hung out in a coffee shop (an actual coffee-selling coffee shop, not the other kind!) and journaled/blogged/read while I waited for the rain to pass. I walked around Rembrandts Plein, another bar/restaurant/shopping district, and picked up a cute little pair of wooden shoes to take home. Then I went back to the hostel and tried to squeeze everything into my carry-on bag, hoping I wouldn't get charged extra for it being oversized! Because who wants to spend perfectly good beer money on luggage fees? Not this girl. Miraculously, I made everything fit and flew to Prague with no problems. Then I took a bus and two trains to get to my hostel, which I had a little bit of trouble finding... But it was well worth the hassle. This hostel is AMAZING. It's actually a hostel/hotel combo, which was perfect for me because you get the party vibe and lots of young travelers, but the luxury of your own room and being able to sleep in peace and quiet (without loud-snoring Irish dudes, for example). So I sprung for the private room since I'll be here for 5 nights, and I gotta say I'm pretty happy I did. "Czech" it out (hahaha)!

The best thing, aside from the stocked mini-fridge, free towels, and big shower, was that they have a BLOW DRYER! Yesssss! So happy to give my hair a break from wet curliness for a few days. That probably sounds ridiculous to any guys reading this, but the ladies know what I'm talking about. After doing a little happy dance for the blow dryer, I went across the street and had a late dinner of some incredibly tasty Indian food, then had a nice long sleep in my comfy cozy king-sized bed!
